Terms of service

These terms of service govern your use of tendo, an AI-powered personal athletic coaching service accessible via Telegram and Messenger. By using tendo you agree to these terms.

1. What tendo is

tendo is an AI coaching assistant. It generates personalised training plans, analyses workout data from Strava, and provides session feedback through automated conversation. tendo is not a licensed medical provider, physiotherapist, or certified sports coach.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use tendo. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Health and safety

You train at your own risk. tendo is not liable for any injury, illness, or harm that results from following a training plan or coaching advice provided by the service.

4. Your account and data

tendo stores your profile, goals, training plans, and conversation history to provide a personalised coaching experience. You can request deletion of all your data at any time by sending /delete to the bot or emailing hello@tendo.coach. See our Privacy policy for full details.

5. Strava integration

If you connect Strava, you authorise tendo to read your activity data (distance, pace, heart rate, etc.) to provide feedback and adjust your plan. You can revoke this access at any time from your Strava settings. tendo only reads activity data — it never writes to or modifies your Strava account.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use tendo for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
• Share access to tendo in a way that circumvents fair use
• Submit false information that could result in harmful training recommendations

7. Service availability

tendo is currently in beta. We make no guarantees of uptime, continuity, or feature availability. The service may be changed, paused, or discontinued at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

8. Pricing

tendo is free to use during the beta period. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, existing users will be given reasonable advance notice and a clear opportunity to continue or cancel before any charges apply.

9. Intellectual property

The tendo service, its name, logo, and all generated content remain the property of the tendo operator. Training plans generated for you are for your personal use only and may not be resold or redistributed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, tendo and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to injury, loss of data, or lost training time.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Danish courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of tendo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
